Grinding
What is grinding in games? Repeating the same task for experience, currency or loot before you can move on, and why games are built around it.
Grinding means repeating a task, such as defeating the same enemies, to collect experience, currency or items before you can progress. Players use the word for any repetitive, time-consuming stretch a game demands, and looter shooters and many role-playing games build their long-term play around it.
