Fast travel
What is fast travel? Teleporting between places you have already found, why open-world games and role-playing games use it, and examples.
Fast travel lets you jump straight to a place you have already discovered instead of crossing the distance in real time. It is common in role-playing and open-world games, where the map is large and walking back is slow.
